On Hollywood Road

Sunday Shopping, Shau Kei Wan

Posted in Uncategorized by Alex Daye on May 4, 2009

This weekend was our Labour Day holiday in Hong Kong, the semi-official start of summer here, and we were rewarded for our toiling with three exceedingly rare clear, dry and sunny days, during which I maintained a strict schedule of reading on the beach with short breaks for meals, dog walking and, on Sunday, a short trip to the market in Shau Kei Wan at the Eastern tip of Hong Kong. Herein, a report on the spoils:

Silver polish;

A little bit of milk;

For whisker trimming;

Jumbo asparagus, etc.;

Baby mangoes.
