Fathom talks to Alex about his Hong Kong
A little while ago, we met the delightful Jeralyn Gerba from FATHOM, a web site that is all about the subject that we love here at Moustache, travel!
Fathom (if you haven’t checked it out already), has a decidedly fresh and original take on presenting cities around the world along with interviews with interesting people who have been there and done that and can give you great insight to places you might be interested to visit or just dream about visiting. The web site is relatively new and is growing in content by the day. We feel a real affinity with Jeralyn and her approach to not only her website Fathom, but to her approach in life in general. We will definitely be adding it to our places we visit on the old world wide web!
There is a section on the site that is the called the “Hometown Debrief” that is a questionnaire with someone who lives there and gives you their point of view. You can see what Alex from here at Moustache has to say about our home town right here. Please take a moment to check it out.
And take the time to take a tour of Fathom. Here is their mission statement from their site. We are very excited to see more and have already armchair-traveled through it’s sections….
From the FATHOM about page
FATHOM is an independent online travel hub that’s been alive and kicking since spring 2011. It reflects the way that wired, global-minded travelers plan for and share their travel experiences. FATHOM is for those who tour the world spontaneously and deliberately, who combine business with pleasure, and who seek out the new while appreciating the familiar. They’re hungry for new inspiration and discoveries.
FATHOM celebrates all the reasons why we pack our bags, get on a plane, hitch a ride, and explore beyond our backyards.
We focus on places we like, writers we trust, and stories that move us. Our ruling astrological signs lead us to provide practical advice, timeless tips, and plenty of additional resources to help travelers hit the ground running. We’re committed to sharing this information the way we want all information: on the go, in the hand, and off the cuff.
We have big plans to cover the globe as fast as possible. Be patient! We’ll get there.
